We’re pioneers of change.

Because amazing things happen when different comes together. Unique experiences are created and change is made. We’re transforming an unused grey space into a global hub full of life, energy and colour.

Welcome to Ven.

A unique place where the past meets the future, where work meets play and where opportunity meets possibility.

But first things first, what is, and what was Ven? Well, Ven is the new name for what was the old KPN headquarters in Amsterdam West: a building that had been empty for years. As soon as we saw it, we dared to imagine its possibilities and thought “What if?” and “Why not?”. We believed that this once grey office space could be transformed into a global hub, full of life, energy and colour.

So that’s exactly what is happening now. A huge change is taking place. The building’s currently being transformed into a 45,000 sqm, 24/7 business and entertainment complex designed for global and local ‘experience-seekers’ and its easily accessible location makes it an iconic destination in the city.

Inside its curved mirrored walls Ven boasts a flagship convention hotel, The Park Inn by Radisson, with its vibrant interiors dreamt up by world-renowned designer Karim Rashid. Ven is also home to B-aparthotels, providing both short and long-stay guests the opportunity to stay in spacious serviced apartments.

Ven’s rooftop bar and restaurant offer panoramic views over the city centre and beyond. At the heart of the complex lies a social piazza, embraced by a large casino, health and fitness centre, a range of dining experiences, concept shops and inspirational social spaces.

Ven is where wonder meets curiosity, creativity meets business and where dreams meet lift-off.

Ven is a 24/7 pioneering space to network, snooze, swim, nibble, mingle, workout and hang out.

Ven is an ever-evolving place, where walls curve and lines blur. It’s where late nights meet early mornings. Where global investors mix with local inventors. Where fitness freaks meet tech geeks and where culture vultures meet a visual feast.

Ven’s flagship convention hotel design inspires creativity at IMEX

Karim Rashid’s designs for Ven’s flagship hotel, The Park Inn by Radisson, inspired guests at the Frankfurt trade show to create their own designs. Final landscape designs unveiled for the piazza

Ven’s colourful interiors will seamlessly spill out onto the central piazza. NL landscape architects Buro Sant en Co. said “We wanted to create a space where people can sit, relax, chat, eat and hangout. Curvaceous hot pink seating areas and water installations will be embraced by an ever-changing palette of lighting, bringing life, colour and energy into the piazza”.

Celebrating the first step of the transformation.

Karim Rashid unveiled his vision at a unique event at Ven. Hosted inside the still under construction site, the event celebrated the beginning of the change to come. A range of key influencers from the Amsterdam community attended and became part of the change from the very beginning. During the event, we shared Ven’s philosophy and encouraged everyone to share their thoughts.

Ven’s old doors transformed into unique business cards.

Even Ven’s business cards embody the philosophy of the brand by combining two opposing elements together (old and new) to create something unique. We collaborated with local artisans and used old-fashioned artistry and cutting-edge techniques to transform the building’s old office doors into something totally different.
